Privacy policy

Summary

The DLRestoreMap decoder runs in your browser. State, suspension cause, offense date, prior count, and hardship interest are sensitive financial-distress and legal-distress data. We never send these inputs to a server. We do not retain them. We do not share them.

We use privacy-respecting analytics to count which pages are useful. We log aggregate verdict counts (state code, cause class, hardship interest yes/no) only. We never log offense dates, prior counts, or any combination of fields that could re-identify a driver.

What we collect (and what we don't)

What we collect through privacy-respecting analytics:

• Page-view counts per page (e.g. /states/california visited N times this month)
• Aggregate decoder verdicts (state code + suspension cause class + hardship interest yes/no — never tied to a session or driver)
• Coarse IP-derived geolocation (country / state), anonymized at ingest
• Browser and device class, for compatibility debugging

What we do NOT collect:

• Offense dates, prior counts, employment information, or any combination of decoder inputs that could re-identify a driver.
• Email addresses, phone numbers, or any other contact information — we have no email-capture forms on this site.
• Document uploads — we have no upload route.
• Retargeting pixels or ad-network identifiers (advertising consent is denied by default).
• Session recordings, screen recordings, or heatmaps.

Cookies and consent

We default to analytics_storage granted and ad_storage denied under Google Consent Mode v2. You can decline analytics in the cookie banner; the choice persists in local storage and the analytics flag flips to denied. We do not run ad cookies, retargeting cookies, or third-party social-share cookies.

Children

This site is for US drivers, who must be at least 16 years of age in most states to hold a license. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, EEA, UK, or California, you may have rights to access, rectify, or delete personal data we hold. Because we hold no identifying personal data on decoder inputs, an access or deletion request reduces to a confirmation of that fact. To exercise a right, email [email protected].

We update this policy as the site changes. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
